This article questions the six major motion pictures studio’s strategy of suppression of internet distribution of movies using centralized and protected servers versus the advantages of paid for, digital rights managed, peer-to-peer distribution systems. By trying to minimize the disruptive power of the Internet’s decentralized distribution system the six major studios may be overtaken by a plethora of independent studios using more aggressive and decentralized methods of distribution. This fight over distribution methods will directly influence the cost and effectiveness of streaming media directly to a IPTV.

This article outlines Bill Gates’ vision of how the computer and the TV, traditionally living in two different spaces in a home, will soon converge with the new device offering the interactivity of the computer along with the passivity and ease of use of the TV. The stakes are big and the large media providers are already positioning themselves for a piece for the IPTV pie.
Hi, Kirk — Good start on your annotations! You’ve hinted at the linkage to your project, which is about all you can do at this stage.
For the ACM citation, the publication name is Communications of the ACM — so strike that “ACM” you’ve put in italics.
This Is A Starting Point For Independent Studios And Producers ( Actually All Independents ) Because the frame work for viral distribution is in place and works for the most part. it still needs a modal for profitability, haveing said that
i believe that if you submit a good ripping yarn people will watch and maby pay for a disk with better quality and other materials on the disc that wouldnt be released on the web
also the disc should have the ability to allow users to acess
the web and associated sites that support the producers vision and other projects. haveing a globeal stage in thios manner the creator can controle the focus of their work
with less intrusion from bean counters. his or her vision
can be created the way the creative intended in the first place. And still generate profits. iI guess im trying to say that
some things must change thinking must change because times are and have changed. theirs no going back
